Eliude Miller applies for Mayoral Candidacy in Belize City

By Zoila Palma:  Today, Deputy Mayor Eliude Miller officially submitted his application to participate in the upcoming PUP Convention for the opportunity to serve as a Belize City Mayoral Candidate in the 2027 Municipal Elections.

“I was proud to do so at Independence Hall alongside seven of my fellow Council Members, who joined me in a show of support and friendship. As this process unfolds and each of us continues the pursuit of service, I am grateful that we have built the kind of relationships in which mutual respect and support endure. That says a lot about who we are and the values we share,” Miller said.

Miller says that he is a product of Belize City.

“My journey started at Port Loyola Preschool, continued through St. John Vianney R.C. School, Anglican Cathedral College, and later the University of Belize. The years I spent at these institutions were among the most formative of my life, building the foundation of who I am through lasting lessons and friendships.

Over the past seven years, I have had the privilege of serving the residents of this city through the work of the Belize City Council. Each day has only strengthened my love for public service and deepened my commitment to the people of Belize City,” Miller explained.

Miller says that through continued training and education, meaningful relationships with the team at the Council he has grown tremendously as a young leader.

“After careful reflection and consultation with my family, colleagues, and friends, I have made the decision to place myself before the delegates of our party once more. I do so with humility, gratitude, and confidence in the work that has brought me to this point. I am prepared for what lies ahead and excited for the opportunity to continue building our City,” Miller expressed.
